The victorian period is romance of the past, this was a time when beauty was not merely ornamental.
Our dolls reflect that lady's look of the day that had to do with propriety, manners and grace.
The Victorian lady was always dressed appropriately for the occasion. Whether she was out for the day
in a light dress made of linen in the summer or muslin and flannel for different cooler seasons.
The footwear of lace-up boots or other shoes were worn for day outings. Evening gowns were made of
organdy, silk, satin and taffeta. Underneath were petticoats, bustles, and corsets for a perfect look.
Adornment was elegant but not overdone. A string of pearls, a cameo, and a hat would be worn by most.
